Yes. Both courses follow the official syllabi of Cambridge Assessment International Education, a globally respected provider and part of the University of Cambridge.
These qualifications are recognised by over 2,000 institutions worldwide and benchmarked by UK ENIC. This gives students a strong academic foundation and a qualification that is widely accepted for further education and professional development.
No, the Cambridge exams are entirely optional. Many students enrol for personal enrichment or structured learning without the intention of sitting an exam.
For those who do wish to take the exam, registration must be arranged independently through a local authorised exam centre. Please note that the examination fee is separate and set by the exam centre itself. While we do not handle registration, we provide full academic preparation, ensuring students are well-equipped to succeed should they choose to sit the exam.
At present, we are offering courses aligned with Cambridge IGCSE Islamiyat and Cambridge International A-Level Islamic Studies to serve a broad international audience. However, we recognise the value of other UK-based qualifications. Subject to interest and demand, we intend to develop courses based on the specifications of other major exam boards, including AQA, Pearson Edexcel, and WJEC Eduqas.
All classes are taught by Shaykh Imtiyaz Damiel, a highly qualified Islamic scholar and academic. He holds advanced degrees in Islamic Studies and Arabic, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Islamic Education at the University of Warwick. His teaching combines traditional Islamic scholarship with academic excellence, making complex topics clear, relevant, and accessible.
The primary language of instruction is English. Arabic texts such as the Qur’an and Hadith are taught with clear explanation and contextual translation, ensuring full understanding for non-Arabic speakers.
Absolutely. We encourage adult learners to enrol. Many parents, professionals, and older students join our courses to strengthen their understanding of Islam in a structured and academically sound environment. Our teaching approach is respectful, intellectually engaging, and welcoming to mature learners.
